Macquarrie can build the mixed flow pump into a pump set driven by diesel engine, electric motor or PTO tractor drive.

We have access to all major diesel engine brands. They can be direct driven, or via belt drive or gearbox drive.

Axial Flow Pumps

Axial Flow Pumps are used in applications where a self priming type pump application is very desirable. Applications can be in water transfer, aquaculture and agriculture. The pumps draw water through a column and discharge horizontally at the top of the column. Models MC200, 250, 300 & 350 are supplied with a removable pulley drive, which can be taken off to mount an electric motor direct to the pump.

They have heads up to 200m and flows up to 700 l/s. Double suction impeller design balances the axial forces with each impeller balanced statically and dynamically.

Submersible Pumps

Submersible pumps are driven by an electric motor and are designed to be submersed in water. Applications vary from lifting water out of rivers, mines, etc to sewage pumping in domestic and industrial areas. They can be designed with high pressure outputs. They have flow rates from 10 l/s to 2200 l/s with heads up to 60m. The pumps are easy to install and come with either a horizontal discharge with a locking flange or a volute discharge vertically up. Submersible pumps are extremely reliable and come with protection for high temperature and water leakage. They are designed to pump fluids with solid ratios up to 2% and fluid temperature up to 40C.

Self Priming Pumps

Self priming pumps can be used in water transfer, water tankers and higher pressure applications. Their rugged design ensures a long service life with minimum maintenance requirements. They are fitted with a front inspection hatch for access to the impeller, wear plate and check valve. The back of the impeller has vanes designed to prevent foreign matter damaging the mechanical seal. They are fitted with large bearings to allow belt driving. The impeller and wear plate can be supplied with 304 stainless, 316 stainless or Bronze.
