Leading the charge for zero emission buses in Australia

Aluminium Revolutionary Chassis Company (ARCC), a long-standing Australian owned and operated bus manufacturer, is committed to the development of an Australian designed and built zero emission bus chassis. This is a local industry collaboration with a focus on socially responsible engineering. Macquarrie has been selected as a supplier by ARCC as part of this local industry collaboration and we couldn’t be more proud.

ARCC currently has two prototype aluminium chassis under production with a further two in the development stage.

This includes:

• A Full Electric City Bus Chassis
• Hydrogen Fuel Cell City Bus Chassis

Both have been developed side by side so that everything, including the Dana electric drive components, is essentially the same for both versions. There is space behind the rear axle allocated to the batteries in both models.

Macquarrie has been charged with the supply of:

• The 12 inch Bus Dash Display with our Murphy Powerview 1200
• PowerKey Pro Keypad (left of display) for control over functions
• PowerTrack Keypad with Rotary Encoder (right of display) for control over functions

As the electrification of all types of vehicles continues apace, ARCC along with its collaboration partners including Macquarrie, is playing its part as a valued Australian manufacturer, producing innovative light tare aluminium bus chassis, powered by Dana axles for the 16tonnes GVM variant and a new OEM for the 18 tonnes GVM variant with electric drive motors from DANA TM4, that could well shape the future of public transport in Australia
