Axiomatic

AX030500 4 Analog Signal Outputs CAN Controller

CAN, 4 Analog Outputs, 250 kBit/s

The 4 Analog Signal Output CAN Controller can extend machine control networks by adding I/O to the CAN bus. Diesel engine control systems with SAE J1939 or CANopen® can communicate with 4-20 mA or other analog signal input devices using this controller as a smart interface. The Axiomatic controller can be configured to suit the specific application using a service tool. User selectable outputs include: 0-5V; 0-10V; +/-5V; +/-10V; 0-20mA; 4-20 mA; and +/-20mA. The controller comes in two models, the AX030500 for SAE J1939 networks or the AX030501 for CANopen® applications. Baud rates of up to 1 Mbit/s are available.

The controller belongs to a family of Axiomatic smart controllers with programmable internal architecture. This provides users with flexibility, allowing them to build their own custom controller with a required functionality from a set of predefined internal functional blocks using the PC-based Axiomatic Electronic Assistant® software tool. Application programming is performed through the CAN interface, without disconnecting the controller from the user’s system.

Applications:

  • Commercial vehicles
  • Off-highway Construction Equipment
  • Forestry Mining and Military Vehicles
